Puerto Vallarta comes alive from first of November until the end of May with one of the best organized, most unique, art walks I have been apart of. There is a charm to strolling along the cobblestone streets, feeling the energy of the street performers along the Malecon, as you “pop” in to the various galleries that participate in this weekly event that ignites the town every Wednesday night during “high” season.
Small, out of the way galleries exhibit some of the most creative “World Art” that has patrons coming back to see more. Larger, more commercial galleries, show oversized abstract canvases intertwined with more photo realistic representations of the lifestyle of the indigenous people of Mexico. Any where you choose to partake in the wine and hospitality, you will enjoy artwork from a culture that takes it’s art seriously, and is considered “trend setting” in the global marketplace.
